Criipto is acquired by BankID BankAxept

Nordic market leader BankID BankAxept is acquiring Danish challenger Criipto to create a stronger European position and add a unique product platform to their portfolio. Criipto will remain an independent company to ensure speed and innovation, supported by a solid new backing.

Criipto and BankID BankAxept have a history of collaboration, including the secure distribution of BankID with biometrics in Norway. This acquisition represents a strategic and cultural fit, with BankID BankAxept offering market solidity and leadership in Norway, while Criipto provides speed, innovation, and a developer-friendly platform.
