Marietje Schaake is a non-resident Fellow at both Stanford’s Cyber Policy Center and the Institute for Human-Centered AI.
She contributes regularly as a columnist for the Financial Times and holds positions on several non-profit boards, including the United Nations’ High-Level Advisory Body on AI.
From 2009 to 2019, she served as a Member of the European Parliament, focusing on trade, foreign affairs, and technology policy. She is also the author of The Tech Coup.

In 2018, Annemette Broch founded the DATA for GOOD Foundation with the goal of giving ownership and power back to individuals through secure and ethical consent-as-a-service.
As a speaker at Connect, she’ll show how this approach challenges surveillance capitalism and puts people, not platforms, in charge of their data. On stage she'll be joined by Kim Nørskov from Partisia who will explain how the platform is built to support their mission.

Our CEO, Niels Flensted-Jensen, will use his talk at Connect to tackle the question: how do we verify information in a world of AI, misinformation, and blurred truths? He’ll explain why wallets and credentials are just the beginning of a much larger fight for trust.

Experience the vibe from Criipto Connect 2024
What are the next steps for digital wallets in Europe? On November 13th, 2024, we hosted our live conference, Criipto Connect, at Bremen Teater in Copenhagen, trying to answer that question.
The main topic was "A Nordic Perspective on Digital Wallets” where we invited European identity experts to share their insights on eIDAS 2.0 and the future of national wallets. We also demoed our own web wallet for the first time, focusing on a simpler and safer identity verification experience.
Musical performance: Thomas Dybdahl
Thomas Dybdahl made his debut back in 2002 with the album That Great October Sound, the first part of a trilogy. A year later, he received the Norwegian Spellemannprisen (Norway’s equivalent of the Grammy) for his work.
Over the years, he’s built a strong fanbase in Denmark and is now a regular name on the local live scene.

Meet last year's speakers
We invited the CEO of BankID BankAxept, Øyvind Westby Brekke, to share his perspective on the evolving market for electronic identities (eID) in Europe. Øyvind spoke from a Norwegian perspective about the balance between digital inclusion and exclusion, as well as the role that regulation plays in fostering trust.
Mikkel Storm Jensen is a Military Analyst at the Institute for Strategy and War Studies, where he researches cyber conflict and strategy, including the use of the cyber domain in interstate conflict and competition at a strategic level. Furthermore, he focuses on the state's role in ensuring that society has sufficient resilience against cyber attacks and incidents.
Peter Gregersen is the lead designer at Vipps MobilePay and managed the introduction of Vipps in MobilePay’s user experience and interface.
Torsten Lodderstedt is a Digital Identity Architect who currently works for the German Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation (SPRIN-D) as project lead & lead architect of Germany’s EU Digital Identity Wallet project. He also serves as technical advisor at the OpenWallet Foundation.
Niels Flensted-Jensen is the CEO of Criipto, and gave the first demo of our own web wallet. The wallet leverages MitID’s security, but allows users to verify their identity without needing to use MitID every time.
